In this book, for the first time, the author derives a closed equation system for mean turbulent flow, achieved through a special type of transformation of the Navier-Stokes equation. This is then used to estimate mean velocity, temperature and impurity concentration profiles in turbulent stratified flows, in boundary layers over rough surfaces with 2-D and 3-D roughness elements and in accelerated flows, as well as turbulent transport of air pollutants in the atmosphere.
